Style Aficionado was first developed in 2008 as a site for me to sell my own handmade creations. I just love creating and am always making something, whether its new cushions for the sofa or a dress to get me through those last few months of pregnancy, my home is constantly filled with the sound of my sewing machine whirring!

With the birth of my second child, I found my time free to sew had become virtually nonexistent. So I decided to combine my two great loves (after the husband and kids of course!) shopping and handmade designer items!

I just adore giving unique handmade gifts to my family and friends and, when I didn’t have the time to make them anymore, I started hunting out some fabulous items from designers all over the world
